Recruitment Rules
Before reading this it is recommended that you read the Origins of the Guild and the Rules.
This set of rules are an extension of our 4 basic rules.
The text below tries to explain our method of recruitment and the reason why we must follow it, regardless of a better solution or simpler one.
The objective of the guild is to create a community where everyone is welcome and feel welcome, regardless of faith, origin, skin color or education.
If you have joined this community you certainly have first known our rules, goals and values. With that in mind, we believe that you don't want someone that does not belong, been recruited at any moment, it would be a disrespect with everything we value, so this method of recruitment have on it's heart, a means to filter, who comes to our doorstep.
The recruitment, is how we present ourselves to the game community as a whole. It is our way to show people that we are here for them, that we are a place they want to be and most of all, we respect not only our guildies, but people in general.
It is in our best interest, to respect the person been recruited and in that regard, we do not allow any recruiter to invite someone to the guild without the person's permission and will.
We use the AD system, using propaganda in the chat to "fish" for people that want to join us.
Here is our AD and it must be used by all recruiters, some small alterations is allowed, but we think this is what represents us the most.
The Imperial Side:
<< Out of Order >> we are an active community, we pvp, raid, etc. Features: 10/10 exp boost, GB, TS3, Website, Flagship. Rules: respect, zero drama tolerance. Whisper for invite!
The Republic Side:
<< Out of the Box >> we are an active community, we pvp, raid, etc. Features: 10/10 exp boost, GB, TS3, Website. Rules: respect, zero drama tolerance. Whisper for invite!
Basicly the same text for both sides, for now just keep the Flagship on Imp side because we are working on pub side flagship at the moment.
This text works, i personally have recruited a big number of new members using this method.
It is not 100% safe, we can get some people that will not fit, but it filters a good deal of members that would have left, if not using this text to let them know what we are about.
Some people may have questions, and those that normally have, are the ones that will really commit to the guild, because they know what they want, and for some reason we have shown interest to them.
People may ask: "this is my first time playing, may i join?" or "i only play by weekends, you seem to be looking for active members, may i join?" or "i have been away for a while, i may need assistance, can i count on you guys to help me out?" or "how many people you have active on your guild at the moment?"
Those are all common questions that i answer very often.
Some people may react to the text on the chat saying our name is funny or whatever, please, do not engage with those people, they are trying to get to you, and if you engage on the conversation, they will make fun of the guild, just remain silence.
Try to space the AD in 1 minute intervals, place it there a couple of times and stop.
I have added this to my routine when i log into the game, the first thing i do, is travel to Korriban/Tython/Hutta place the AD a couple of times, then Coruscant / Dromund Kass (depending on the side you are).
Those are all free planets to travel to, or have a very low fee (100 i guess).
I end my routine going to the Fleet and placing a couple of ADs there.
I keep my ADs in a text file that i open, select the text CRTL + C on it, go back to the game and CRTL + V on the chat window and that's all.
After each recruitment, add the Join date on the Officer's note.
If it is an ALT, please, make sure to add the MAIN toon in the Member's office.
That's all !!!
You may encounter with people without guilds during planet quests or Heroics or Flashpoints, it is a healthy way to recruit, offering them to join our guild, it does not hurt.
